International Day of Peace

On Wednesday 21st September, 2022, the Rotary Club of San Fernando South in collaboration with the Interact Club of Naparima College unveiled a peace pole on the School’s compound in recognition of  the International Day of Peace .

The Peace Pole which was donated by Past Students of Naparima College who are members of the Rotary Club of San Fernando South bears the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” engraved in the following languages: English, Spanish, French, Dutch, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese. This internationally-recognized symbol serves as a reminder to think, speak and act in the spirit of peace and harmony, standing as a silent visual for peace to prevail on earth.

Certainly, we, at the college, aim to be an institution which promotes peace. Over the last term, we have produced 16 NewGen Peacebuilders and aspire to produce more in the future.  Ultimately, we desire to work towards a world where compassion and empathy overcome suspicion and hatred. A world that we can truly be proud of.
